A painting is more than a visual experience it is also a catalyst for feelings, memories or a conversation with other viewers. At art exhibits it is very interesting to talk to other people, and exchange opinions and experiences about a piece of art. One person will notice objects, or colours in areas that another person did not see at all. Also, an art piece will evoke different feelings in the individual person. A unique piece of art makes a special gift to a friend or family. Photographs and imagination is used as inspiration for my paintings.

Art on this site include painted milk-jugs, wall murals, original paintings and greeting cards. I have painted for 15 years as a selftaught artist, and then completed my Bachelor Degree in Visual Art and Psychology.

My Art work is published in New Art International 2009. Also, I had art published in Naturally Magazine in 2008.

I am very grateful for receiving an Award from Nanaimo Art Council 2009.

I am happy to donate artwork to schools and charities to help with fundraising. Places I have donated to in the past include: Danish Lutheran Church, Edmonton, Women shelter, Edmonton, Women Gathering Event, Edmonton, Kirkness Elementary school, Edmonton, Theatre One Nanaimo, Prince of Peace Catholic School, Hoover, AL USA, Vancouver Island University and Danish Church Vancouver.

Pablo Picasso:

My mother said to me, "If you become a soldier, you'll be a general; if you become a monk, you'll end up as the Pope." Instead, I became a painter and wound up as Picasso.
